break it down
the cotillion last night was fantastically amazingly fantastic.

so after running around grabbing flowerthingys and cameras and other dance necessities i showed up at casey's house to begin the long and painful process of getting ready for the dance. i spent most of the time singing rent, eating cheese pizza and doing the other girl's hair. i have no idea why i did their hair. that was pretty wierd. im not a girl. (well, physically i am but im not the girly type. well ok so i swoon over boys and ill admit to partaking in girlish grossness some times, but that nails and barbie and clothes and shoes and gossip thing is sooooooo not me.)

to me there are 2 hair styles. pony tail or down. thats it. so it was odd being the one people asked to help them with their hair. yeah so i exhauseted that topic.

so by the time tom came to pick up casey and the rest of us i still didnt have my stockings on, and then i realized that i had to paint my toenails and agh!

so i pretty much painted my entire toe in an attempt to "touch up" the already existant and morbidly chipped black polish that was already.

those last few minutes were histerical.

we went to brendan's house to do the whole picture thing, which is equally painful.

pat and brendan decided to make melissa and i joke corsages which were amazing. they brought out these crazy looking things that were supposed to resemble corsages made of construction paper, random toys, a pretzle, a lego man, feathers, bits and pieces of fabric and such. and honestly that was so much better than a normal corsage. they had real ones for us, thinking we wouldnt really want the ones they made, but both melissa and i wore both corsages. i loved the looks i got from people as i walked by.

kevin rented a rhino head from the local costume store and it was the funniest thing seeing all the guys and a rhino in a suit taking pictures. i love my friends so much.

we ventured off into the rain and actually arrived at the dance on time, unlike last year. we didnt even have to wait in line for pictures.

the dance itself was incredible, everyone looked nice and we all just had a really fun time. im glad i went with pat again this year, he never fails to be an awesome date. and i might add that he looked stunning in his all black suit and shirt with his white tie and belt. i loved it.

after the dance we went to friendly's and headed home.

next stop ----> prom.
