thank you oh wise and omnicient yellow pages ...
i have discovered mr mignogna's supply of daily "words of wisdom" : the telephone book.

yes you heard right, the very yellow pages you sat on as a wee one when you couldnt reach your dinner plate ...

i was browsing through the phone book this afternoon (what you dont do it too???) and i came upon something strange. as a space filler they print little lines of wisdom. subliminal messages strewn amongst the asbestos removal ads and nestled beteen paperhangers' numbers.

these profound words are (for example): "think before speaking. you might choose to be silent"

"only in the dictionary does success come before work"

"its wise to remember some things and forget others" (thats almost as profound as george bush ... )

"some anglers catch fish by the mouth; some, by the tale." (whaaa?)

"when coca-cola first entered the chinese market the bottles were embossed with the chinses characters that represented the sounds of "coca-cola" but which in fact ment, 'bite the tadpole."

"one measure of value: wjat do you do when you have nothing to do?"

they got lazy because they use the same ones many times ... but the phone book is pretty big.

and for some reason i felt the need to share this.
